Workshop Description:
This series of three workshops will combine presentation-style sessions to share key information, full-group discussions (group size permitting), and, where time allows, small-group work in breakout rooms. There may be some light homework between sessions to support learning and reflection. The first two workshops will be held virtually. The third workshop will be in person, more hands-on, and will give participants the chance to do a deeper dive into topics the group is most interested in.
Learning Outcomes:
By participating in this workshop series, you will learn about:
- The core skills needed for grant writing, including tips and best practices
- How to match project ideas with the right funders
- The main parts of a funding proposal, from project goal, objectives, activities, outputs, outcomes, etc. - through to evaluation and sustainability
- Practical tools such as logic models (theory of change), workplans, and budgets
- Ethical considerations in grant writing, including the use of AI
- Common funders and grant streams available, with reference to the MANSO resource
