Join members across the sector as we explore the use of Zoom and Teams on mobile devices (iPhone, Android, and tablets).
There will be a presentation by Geraldine Gruszczyk (Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network) & Amie Membreno (Immigrant Centre) on the best tips and tricks to facilitate accessible and engaging online workshops and troubleshooting for each platform.
For this workshop, we recommend that you Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and download the Zoom and Teams applications before the session if you want to get some hands-on practice with Geraldine and Amie!
Workshop Objectives:
- Revise, learn, and practice hosting meetings on Zooms & Teams with more confidence
- Learn best practices when setting up online meetings and presentations
- Identify strategies to improve interaction by participants during online presentations
Presenters:
- Amie Membreno (Immigrant Centre)
Amie Membreño was born in Winnipeg and from a young age has been interested in different cultures and drawn to international work which lead her to travelling and volunteering extensively in Central America. Shortly after her return to Canada Amie started volunteering as an English Conversation Facilitator at Immigrant Centre and soon after started working there as an Employment Facilitator, being promoted to Manager of the Employment Services Department in 2016. Amie’s educational background includes studies in Program Development for Adult Learners Career Coaching and Project Management.
- Geraldine Gruszczyk (Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network)
Geraldine started working at Mosaic in 2017 as a Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator. Geraldine is eclectic, curious, creative and passionate about helping others. Her background studies are on Counselling, Project Management and teaching.
