Event Details
This event is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and supported by a Regional Grant from National Newcomer Collective For Truth & Reconciliation (NNCTR).
Building meaningful relationships between Indigenous Peoples and newcomers is essential to creating welcoming, equitable communities across Manitoba.
This half-day professional development and community gathering brings Indigenous leaders and partners and settlement and community organizations together to learn, reflect, and connect through MANSO’s Guiding Principles for Indigenous and Newcomer Engagement Framework.
Grounded in Indigenous teachings and peer learning, participants will hear real examples, explore practical strategies, and identify concrete next steps they can take personally, and within their own organizations.
This session centres relationship-building first by creating a safe space for dialogue, listening, and shared responsibility.
