Trauma-Informed Care: Trauma-informed Practice

21 Nov 2023
10:00am - 12:00pm CST

Note: This workshop has been previously advertised as a workshop on November 8, 2023. Due to some conflicting schedules, we are now hosting it on November 21, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (CDT). Thank you for your understanding!

This workshop is the second session of a 3-part series focused on Trauma-informed Care and Vicarious Trauma. These sessions are recommended for staff and volunteers from newcomer-serving agencies for professional development purposes. Please feel free to register even if you missed the previous session - everyone is welcome!

The impact of trauma on learning, growth and development can be significant. Encouraging trauma-informed practices is not a new concept but it is one that continues to evolve and encourages ongoing learning, practice and reflection. Participants attending might consider this an opportunity to learn and reflect on their current and future practice. Together, through shared strategies, experience and knowledge we will continue to develop safe spaces that support and empower others.

Facilitator: Kari McCluskey, Aurora Family Therapy Centre
