RAP Networking Day

RAP Networking Day aims to strengthen connections and collaboration among Manitoba organizations involved in the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP), supporting Government-Assisted Refugees (GARs) across the province. As service providers continue to respond to growing pressures related to housing, capacity, complex needs, and system coordination, this event creates a dedicated space for peer support, information sharing, and relationship-building.

The primary goal of the day is to bring RAP service providers together to share practical experiences, best practices, and solutions, while fostering stronger partnerships that enhance collective capacity. Through facilitated discussions and networking opportunities, participants will learn from one another, explore opportunities for collaboration, and identify ways to better support GARs as they begin their new lives in Manitoba.

By strengthening coordination and connection across the sector, the event supports more responsive, consistent, and sustainable resettlement services for Government-Assisted Refugees. 

RAP Networking Day is taking place at Stride Place, 245 Royal Rd. South, Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, on March 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

To make the journey more enjoyable and eco-friendly, participants are encouraged to carpool with colleagues where possible (2–4 people per vehicle). Reach out to MANSO if you would like a ride or have space available in your vehicle.

MANSO will provide lunch, snacks and soft drinks during the event.

Objectives

• To create a supportive space for networking, peer learning, and information sharing among RAP service providers in Manitoba 
• To provide opportunities for participants to introduce their organizations, roles, and services supporting Government Assisted Refugees
• To share best practices, challenges, and practical solutions related to GAR resettlement in Manitoba
• To strengthen partnerships and collaboration across organizations to better support GARs and the staff who serve them
