Event Details
In partnership with all our members, MANSO can play an important role in identifying issues that positively and negatively affect the integration of newcomers, which means that we can inform and enrich many policy conversations. It strengthens our work with the government and the general public to identify areas of consensus or common ground on policy issues among our membership and to be able to “speak with one voice” on issues of key concern.
Three policy resolutions have been drafted by MANSO members this year with the support of MANSO staff and board.
- 2022-1 Affordable and Appropriate Housing
- 2022-2 Affordable and Accessible Internet
- 2022-3 Impacts of Specialized Learning Needs in Language Classrooms
You are invited to a policy review session where all MANSO members can have input on the content of the policies before they are voted on at the MANSO AGM. The policy movers and developers, and members of the MANSO team will speak to the importance of each policy, and there will be time for open discussion.
A copy of the three policy resolutions was sent out to members via email on February 28, 2022. Please be prepared to discuss and provide your feedback.
Alternatively, if you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to provide feedback, it can be emailed to e.halldorson@mansomanitoba.ca by March 31, 2022.
- Accessibility accommodations are available on advance request. If you have any questions, concerns or inquiries, please send us an email at info@mansomanitoba.ca or call 204-272-0872.
- If you are from a MANSO member agency, but having trouble registering for this event, please reach out to Justine Trinh at j.trinh@mansomanitoba.ca for assistance.
