Anti-Racism in Action: Building Belonging and Welcoming Communities

As part of Manitoba’s first official Welcome Week, MANSO is proud to host Anti-Racism in Action: Building Belonging and Welcoming Communities.

This virtual event will spotlight how organizations, schools, workplaces, and community groups across the province are advancing anti-racism, fostering belonging, and creating inclusive spaces for newcomers, immigrants, and refugees.

Through engaging presentations and dialogue, participants will hear from leaders who are working on the front lines of change—challenging harmful narratives, promoting equity, and building stronger connections across communities. From youth-led anti-racism projects and education initiatives, to Indigenous and newcomer relations, to sports and advocacy, presenters will share practical strategies and success stories that inspire action.

The event will feature a moderated panel discussion where each speaker will present their approach to advancing anti-racism, followed by an audience Q&A and closing reflections. Attendees will leave with inspiration, concrete tools, and ideas to strengthen equity and inclusion efforts in their own communities.
