Planning for Canada
About Planning for Canada
Planning for Canada is a free pre-arrival program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and delivered by Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan).
Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is the national voice of Canada’s publicly funded colleges, institutes, CEGEPs, polytechnics, and Indigenous Institutes of Education. CICan convenes, mobilizes, and champions the sector to advance priorities that matter to Canadians and communities. Through Planning for Canada (PfC), an IRCC-funded pre-arrival program delivered by CICan, CICan helps approved immigrants prepare for settlement and employment before arriving in Canada. PfC provides free, online information and orientation, needs and assets assessment, personalized settlement planning, self-directed resources, webinars, and referrals to trusted settlement and employment partners across Canada. CICan and PfC share MANSO’s commitment to newcomer inclusion by supporting immigrants to arrive informed, connected, and ready to contribute to inclusive communities and local labour markets.
