About Immigration Partnership Winnipeg

Immigration Partnership Winnipeg (IPW) is a local immigration partnership dedicated to building an inclusive welcoming community for newcomers in Winnipeg.  We are hosted by the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg and are governed by a Council of community leaders from a diversity of sectors. 

Through collaborative partnerships of diverse stakeholders we work to identify and address gaps and barriers to newcomers successful settlement and integration in the City. We also coordinate and encourage strategic partnerships between many stakeholders to improve dialogue, increase information sharing, raise awareness, and build community capacity to ensure newcomers are welcomed and included in all aspects of life in Winnipeg.

Our long-term vision is to support the development of multi-sectoral partnerships at the local community level to:

• Integrate newcomer needs into the community planning process.
• Identify community-specific strategic priorities.
• Implement a settlement strategy and action plans to improve newcomer outcomes.
