Products & Services
Neighbourhood Immigrant Settlement Worker Program (NISW)
We evaluate settlement needs for families and individual newcomers in targeted communities. We also assist them with accessing a range of services through referrals to health, employment, child care, income security, schools, training, language assessment, and social or recreational options.
We provide help on questions regarding:
- Language classes
- Child care, education and subsidy
- Community services
- Programs for children, youth and families
- Health Services
- Completing documents
- Volunteer opportunities
- Provide settlement information and orientation to newcomers
- Connect to community and government programs and services
- Offer Conversation Circles and various programs
- Assist newcomers to engage in community initiatives and programs
Please bring to your first appointment:

All services are provided FREE and strictly confidential.
We will also work together to help you develop a better understanding of Canadian culture and skills to strengthen your family.
Family Supports for Refugees Program
We provide comprehensive case management support to refugee individuals and families with complex needs and multiple barriers to facilitate their successful adaptation and integration to life in Canada.
A professional multi-cultural team working from a social work case management model providing wrap around supports to newcomers from refugee backgrounds. Our goal is to support the successful adaptation and integration of newcomer families and individuals.

Our Support Includes:

Our holistic case management approach helps families who are facing multiple barriers such as:
• Basic needs/ life skill challenges
• Family-related challenges
• Legal issues
• Social issues and isolation
• Education and employment challenges
Our program also conducts Well-Being Assessments with families from refugee backgrounds at the end of the first year in Canada to determine the overall state of well-being and ensure families are linked to the appropriate resources and services.
In-Home Family Support Program
We provide short term practical assistance with child care, household management and parenting, as well as emotional support and encouragement to eligible families during difficult circumstances.
Parent Coach Program
We offer home-based support for families who want to improve their parenting and/or home management skills.
Families and Schools Together (F&ST)
Our eight week evidence based school program brings families and schools together, to empower parents and strengthen relationships between, families, schools and communities.
We provide confidential counselling within the offices of Family Dynamics for individuals, couples, families and groups to develop new coping strategies. Our counsellors practice with a variety of therapeutic approaches to help our clients navigate through life’s challenges.
Behaviour Support for Licensed Child Care Facilities
We work with child care providers, families and community agencies to support children in licensed child care centres, nursery schools and family child care homes where children have behaviour, social or emotional challenges.
Family Resource Centres
Our centres are located in 6 Manitoba Housing Communities to foster an engaged community, by providing a well-connected and supportive environment.
Family Child Care Training Program
We train, mentor and offer individual support for participants who want to become licensed family child care home providers.
