About Resilia Community Wellness Centre

Resilia Community Wellness Centre (Resilia) is a dynamic, progressive, collaborative agency serving the people of Winnipeg and the surrounding areas in three major ways: first, as a United Way agency it offers affordable therapy to couples, families and individuals; secondly, it provides the clinical facility where students in the Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy program at the University of Winnipeg do the majority of their clinical training; and thirdly, Resilia has a large thriving Newcomer Community Development program.

Our vision at Resilia is to be a Centre of Excellence for culturally sensitive and trauma/stress informed programming for newcomers. Our priorities are to deliver community development programming in the settlement sector, provide culturally informed mental health and well-being services and enhance knowledge in the field. Our overall goal is to remove barriers, increase accessibility, improve settlement outcomes and decrease unnecessary suffering, thereby empowering the ability of thousands of newcomers to contribute to Canadian society.
