Products & Services
We operate the ACOMI Resource Center in downtown Winnipeg and provide services that support the settlement and on-going integration of people of African heritage in a culturally appropriate manner. We provide assessment and referrals to programs and services needed to address issues of employment, poverty, homelessness, education, health, nutrition and recreation; as well as supporting youth with mentorship, essential life-skills and post-secondary educational bursaries. Our drop-in program for children ages 6-12 years provides a safe space for newcomers, indigenous and main-stream Canadians to participate in our programs.
We also provide leadership, support and capacity building to African ethno-cultural organizations in Winnipeg, and are a valuable resource for information and access to people of African heritage and ethno-cultural organizations and associations.
