2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion Workshop with Rainbow Resource Centre

This virtual workshop is offered by MANSO in partnership with Rainbow Resource Centre.  The workshop is open to staff and volunteers of MANSO member organizations, and other newcomer service providers.  MANSO members, please let us know if cost is a barrier, as we have funds to subsidize participation as needed.  

This training will enhance your organization’s capacity to create and maintain safe(r) and more inclusive spaces for all staff, clients and other stakeholders. Participants will increase their understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. They will learn about barriers and discrimination faced by the 2SLGBTQ+ community and learn about the best practices for being an ally. We will have a focus on youth and adults seeking services, with extra information on 2SLGBTQ+ newcomers. This workshop is offered in an interactive online format with a slideshow presentation, group activities and discussions.

This workshop is at an introductory level and is similar in content to Rainbow Resource Centre workshops previously delivered through MANSO called LGBTQ+ Awareness.  We will prioritize participation from those who have not previously attended a similar workshop.

The workshop will be delivered via Zoom.  The workshop will be delivered in 90 minute blocks followed by 30 minute breaks.  Connection details will be sent to registered participants.
