Join us to learn about two rental support programs in the province of Manitoba: Non-EIA Rent Assist and Canada Manitoba Housing Benefit (CMHB). Both benefits can help tenants pay their rent on a monthly basis, however, eligibility and applications are different, so please come and learn from the programs themselves.
Did you know that:
- a permanent resident in MB that is renting a place in the private market could qualify for both the Non EIA Rent Assist and the CMHB?
- some refugee claimants can access the CMHB?
- some CUAET visa holders can access the CMHB?
- CMHB can also help those that are receiving EIA and renting in the private market. They could get up to another $250/month to help pay their rent.
- private sponsored refugees in their first year in Canada can get Non-EIA Rent Assist?
Presenters:
